CORNHOLE BAGS ARRIVED!

I am not sure how much we'll get done on the cornhole boards tonight since college football begins this evening (hurray!), but at least we were productive yesterday.

The cornhole bags (handmade by my momma!) arrived yesterday. That was the highlight of the day. Neighbor Mark took his home so he could sleep with them. Rudy laid ours out in a pattern on the table to admire them. I think they are both very happy; now they just need to finish the paint jobs, and we'll finally get to play. We spent most of last night working on the stenciling for the letters and logos; it was more complicated than anticipated...

CORNHOLE!!!

It has been months since Bailey has written on his blog and for that he apologizes. He has been very busy preparing for the arrival of his little sister, Reese Weber. He has been putting baby furniture together and washing little bitty clothes.

Bailey is trying to complete one more big project with his dad before Reese comes. Bailey, Rudy, and neighbor Mark are building cornhole sets. It is an intense project. Bailey mostly just stands guard and alerts us if anyone is walking by.

Bailey's new playmate

We found out last week that Bailey is getting a little sister!! Bailey was very happy to hear this news. He can't wait to run and frolic with her in the coming months.

You can see her head and her arm pretty well in this picture

This is the money shot (the sex determining picture). As the technician told us, the absence of a turtle shape in this picture indicates that it is a girl. I think she has her legs bent up under her so that you can only see from the hips to the knees.

Working like a Dawg

Bailey goes with me pretty much wherever he is allowed. At the beach he went to outdoor restaurants with us, he goes to the bank with me, and last week he went to work with me. I worked at my dad's office for two days and Bailey tried to look the part of a southern lawyer. He only barked/growled at two clients. One client responded to being barked at by saying, "That there looks like a coon dog. You take him huntin'? " You have got to love north Georgia.

Bailey Immortalized

Granny painted a fabulous picture of Bailey. It looks just like him!!! Rudy likes to hold Bailey up to the painting and let him look at it. We love it! Thanks Granny!!

Bailey Hits the Beach

Bailey got to go to Florida for the first time last week. He was a crazy spring breaker. He dressed up for St. Patrick's day and watched folks drink green beer. He went to the beach and got to play in the sand. He explored Sandestin and got to go to a lot of outdoor restaurants. I really think he likes being a beach dog. Here are a few pictures...

SNOW!

We woke up this morning, we looked out the window, and we saw snow! It is not a lot of snow, but in the South this counts. Rudy and I put on all of our ski gear (including goggles - this was probably unnecessary) and headed outside. This is the most snow that Bailey has every seen, and I think he enjoyed it. He frolicked through the neighbor's yard and played with their dog. Just another fun day in Alabama.

Oh by the way...

Bailey is going to be a big brother to this little peanut! We'll find out in 5-9 more weeks if it is a girl of boy. I'll keep you posted.

GREAT PICTURES OF BAILEY

*Compliments of Mike Lester

Bailey's Birthday

I have been a terrible blogger for the last few months. We have been very busy around here. I even missed Bailey's birthday post. On February 1st Bailey turned 2! For Bailey's birthday our Atlanta friend Mike Lester was nice enough to drive over and celebrate with us. He showered Bailey with gifts, but the best gift of all was a Bailey Weber photo shoot. Mike is an excellent photographer, and he took some fantastic shots of Bailey Boy. I'll share our favorites in the next post.

Bailey is a thief

On Friday Bailey and I went to our neighbor's house to take a picture for them. Bailey ran into their house, picked up one of Mocha's (their dog) toys, and ran back to our front porch with it. Unknown to me, he later buried it in our backyard.

Saturday morning Bailey dug up the toy and decapitated it. He has also pulled up all of the stuffing out and scattered it all over the house. Even though Bailey is a thief and a mess maker, I still love him!!
