Madison Greenway
On Sunday we took Bailey walking on the Madison Greenway near Research Park. It has been so dang hot lately that I haven't taken Bailey out in the middle of the day. However, the Greenway is by a creek so Bailey could beat the heat. Rudy threw B in my parent' s pool not too long ago so we know he can swim, but this was his first experience in a creek/stream. He couldn't figure out how to walk. We think he thought his feet should go on top of the water because he seemed suprised everytime they went under. It was quite funny.

Everybody in Huntsville has an Engineering degree...
...apparently this includes Bailey. We went to dinner at our favorite pizza joint, Tommy's Pizza, and when we came home Bailey was sticking his head through the cat door in the garage barking wildly. When we left Bailey, he was securely in his crate in the kitchen. He somehow figured out how to get out of his crate. Some screws came off the side, and he managed to take the door off of the front. He did get on the counter and knock a cake in the floor, but Rudy and I weren't mad; we were just astonished that he got figured out how to get out.

Bailey has other career aspirations as well. Engineering is clearly a talent, but in his spare time he enjoys dentistry. Instead of shaking your hand Bailey would rather look in your mouth. He doesn't lick in there or anything; he just likes to look.

Randomness
If I took my camera with me everywhere I went, I would have posted a lot in the last few days. We have taken Bailey on a walk with our neighbors and their machete. We have been to Bruester's twice; Bailey ate about three ice cream cones. We had a fun time at Beth and Danny's digging a whole in their yard to fix their sprinkler. So much has happened, but I did not capture it on film and thus...I have left it out. I am a visual learner.
I did have our camera on Sunday when our neighbor's dog hung out at our house. They are moving to Auburn, and we watched their dog while they had an open house. Belle, the dog, was nervous the whole time and just ran around our house frantically. After attemping to kiss this mysterious girl dog, Bailey gave up and took a nap.

The 5th of July
The 4th of July is major fun in Alabama. You can buy fireworks everywhere, and people shoot them off at all hours - day and night...so of course we joined in. We hit up the pool for the 4th and got some good ole ribs, pork butt, pork shoulder, Neighbor Beth's mac 'n cheese, cookies, etc. On the fifth of July we head over to the neighbor's house for a fish cookout, and some fireworks. Bailey gets really weirded out buy fireworks.
